When the AWESOME Board of Advisors was formed in 2014, Frances Tucker was invited to join and represent the academic community. Educating future supply chain professionals has been her focus and passion since her early days at Syracuse University.

She has served as associate professor of marketing and supply chain, co-chair of the Salzberg Memorial Program, and Academic Co-Director of the H.H. Franklin Program.

Fran’s husband also earned his degree at Boston University and then was transferred to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Seizing the opportunity to advance her own education, Fran commuted to Ohio State University to pursue and complete her PhD.
Successfully living the professor’s life for 41 years, Fran is now finding time to put toward the recovery, documentation and consolidation of the Franklin and Salzberg program archives. She also looks forward to having time to travel (“anywhere that requires a passport” she says), and spend time with friends and family. She and her husband have four grandsons and one granddaughter.
