Monica Wooden is Co-founder and past CEO of MercuryGate International, Inc. where she developed MercuryGate into what customers and analysts say is one of the most sophisticated and flexible Transportation Management System (TMS) available in the market today. MercuryGate was sold in late 2018 to a private equity firm.
Prior to MercuryGate, Monica worked for IBM. Here she ran Florida professional services and created numerous new business ventures. It is here where she realized the need to automate transportation processes robust enough to handle 3PL and shipper businesses which inspired the start of MercuryGate.
Monica is a member of C200. C200 is an organization of the world’s most successful women business leaders who support each other and work together to advance other women in business. She has been recognized in Forbes, Southeast Women in Business, and received the 2013 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for the Southeast region. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and a Master’s from the University of Georgia. She has two children and has been a resident of Tampa, FL for over 25 years.
