Delivered magazine recently featured Intel’s Ninette Vaz, Global Supply Chain Internet of Things Senior Manager, explaining how diversity delivers in the workplace. Ninette also talked about AWESOME as a source of support, saying she finds the speakers’ stories at AWESOME events to be “valuable, authentic, and inspiring.”

Ninette has seen a major change for the better at Intel in terms of diversity since she joined the company in 1989. She said, “I was definitely one of the younger people in various staffs, as well as often the only female.”

Intel has become a pioneer in diversity and is also an AWESOME sponsor, stepping up for 2020 as the ALL Award Supporter for the second year in a row. In 2015, Intel pledged to achieve full representation of underrepresented minorities and women in its U.S. workforce by 2020 and hit that target two years early.

The article in Delivered quotes Ninette as offering this advice: “I encourage everyone to not consider diversity and inclusion a program or a current trend, but rather a value they believe in…It’s a value that can not only enriched the work environment, but can also enrich people’s personal experience and lives.”
