- Miami University
I am a rising senior studying Supply Chain and Operations Management with a minor in Fashion at Miami University. During my studies, I was selected to represent Miami at the Women Impacting Supply Chain Excellence (WISE) Symposium in Arkansas. I networked with women also studying supply chain at different universities and heard from top female executives impacting the field of supply chain. These women further inspired me to be an impactful leader and instilled the importance of networking and making connections throughout my career. Since my freshman year, I have been involved with the Supply Chain Management Association (SCMA) and after the WISE Symposium, I decided to run for president. I was elected to this position and have found it greatly rewarding to collaborate with the executive team to provide meaningful meetings for peers such as networking, social, and speaker events. This year, we are rolling out our own WISE program at Miami University as a sector of the SCMA. I am excited to see many more women getting involved and our newest program will allow for a welcoming environment to explore challenges and opportunities as the upcoming generation of future leaders.
My passion for sustainability propelled me to be a part of supply chain management. This field enforces the proposition that wasting less and being lean in a global economy is beneficial to not only the environment but to companies as well. In the future, my goal is to be a part of a company that strives for zero waste and continuously innovates and challenges industry norms.
