Linda Wood named as a 2016 Thinker & Mover

linda-lgAWESOME network member, Linda Wood, Vice President, Operations Services, R.J. Reynolds, has been selected to receive the 2016 Thinkers & Movers Award in recognition of innovative leadership has resulted in groundbreaking supply chain understanding and practices. DSC Logistics created the award in 2009 and honors recipients each year in conjunction with the CSCMP Annual Conference.

Linda also will participate as a panelist in the CSCMP session powered by AWESOME on Monday, September 26, 3:45-5 pm: Supply Chain Challenges & Capabilities for the Future: A Conversation with Top Executives.

The Thinkers & Movers presentation will take place Monday evening, September 26. Linda’s co-recipients are Dr. David Closs, John H. McConnell Chaired Professor, Business Administration, Department of Supply Chain Management, Michigan State University, and Dr. Robert C. Lieb, Professor, Supply Chain Management, Northeastern University.

Ann Drake, CEO of DSC Logistics, said Linda’s selection is based on “her dedication to the advancement of supply chain as a critical business strategy, as well as her vision of collaboration as a supply chain performance enabler, and her commitment to the advancement of women’s leadership in the supply chain field.”
